Ask Congress to Support Tamil Women

In honor of International Women's Day, we are urging you to bring justice to Tamil women in Sri Lanka who have suffered a long history of systematic violence. From Krishanthi, an 18-year old who was gang-raped and murdered by members of the Sri Lankan Army, to Koneswary, a 65-year old who was killed when a bomb was placed inside her genitals, Tamil women continue to endure horrific situations which allow the Government of Sri Lanka to violate and exploit them.
